On Saturday the 2 July 2016 I was honoured to be elected by the people of Blair to again serve as your Federal Member of Parliament.
I have never taken your support for granted. Over the last nine years, I have held hundreds of mobile offices in every corner of the electorate. I’ve had conversations with people at shops, parks, school fetes and country shows.
I am proud of the many projects that I’ve fought for and delivered, right across Ipswich and the Somerset Region with the help of the local community.
We delivered the Ipswich Motorway from Dinmore to Darra, delivered the Blacksoil Interchange, the Robelle Domain Parklands and Orion Lagoon at Springfield and the Somerset Civic Centre in Esk.
I fought hard to ensure funding to deliver the Mater Hospital Cancer Centre in Springfield, and have been dedicated to ensuring our local community gets the facilities and infrastructure it deserves as we continue to grow.
These projects and many others have changed our community for the better but there is still much work to be done.
I thank the people of Ipswich and the Somerset Region for their support. I’ll fight tirelessly for Blair during this next term of Parliament.
